Tristan is currently CEO at GaitQ Limited, a spin-out from the University of Oxford. Prior to this, he was a founding director of Metaboards Limited, another spin-out from the University of Oxford.

Tristan completed his PhD at Cambridge University Engineering Department in 2008. Whilst at Cambridge he was a member of Magdalene College and played an active role in college life; both socially (MCR president) and sporting (hockey, rowing, cricket, tennis, real tennis, squash, croquet). Prior to Cambridge he studied Mechanical Engineering with Financial Management at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. This included an academic exchange year to Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.

Following his PhD Tristan joined Transentia Ltd, a strategic consultancy specializing in the commercialization of early-stage technology, in 2008. From 2010 Tristan worked as a strategy consultant for boutique firm Corporate Value Associates, based at CVA London. From 2012 until his time at Metaboards, Tristan worked on a range of consultancy and interim management projects as a director of Lintel Consulting Ltd.
